January 2026 Zoomtails (January 21, 2026) The Phoenix Fire Station
Once home to the nation’s first all-women fire brigade, the Phoenix Fire Station (where Mr. DeLonga once cast his amazing bronze sculptures) has been reimagined by Naomi Darling, a professor of sustainable architecture at the College.  At our January Zoomtails she will discuss the dynamic history of the building and the collaborative effort to create an environmentally conscious and creative studio space as well as a new major in Environmental Architecture.

November 2025 Zoomtails (November 7, 2025) Frances Perkins
Are you receiving Social Security?  Then you have Frances Perkins, MHC Class of 1902, to thank. A forceful advocate for workers, she promoted a 40-hr workweek, abolition of child labor, and workers comp.  Our classmate, Susan Bateson, discussed her passionate involvement with the Frances Perkins Center and the recently-designated FP National Monument.  Susan describes “Perk” as “one of MHC’s sterling examples of living a life of purposeful engagement with the world.

October Zoomtails (October 23,2025) Campus Ghost Stories
Elizabeth Tucker ‘70, introduced members of the Class of ’76 and guests from the Class of ’74 to the ghost stories that swirl around our campus.  As a distinguished professor of folklore at Binghamton University who has won many teaching and storytelling awards, she spiked our interest in a Ghost Tour (now scheduled for R50)!

Collaborative Brainstorming (June 20-22, 2025)
Co-Presidents, Laurie Bent and Sarah House Denby and Reunion Co-Chairs, Bev Wise and Palma convened class officers and guests for a productive weekend of R50 planning. We reviewed past successes, defined our goals, brainstormed for ideas, sent out reconnaissance texts all while enjoying our time together and eating a fair share of Atkins donuts. With a nod to our bicentennial year of graduation, our reunion theme will be: ’76 – Spirited and Strong

Mary Lyon Birthday Zoom (February 28, 2023)
Mary Lyon turned 226 on February 28th.  We helped her celebrate with a Zoom party.  Some of us wore MHC swag; some brought our version of a blue Class of ’76 cocktail to share.  Here is the recipe for Deacon Porter’s Hat.   Party on sisters!

A great time was had by all during this lively celebration.

New Years Zoom
We shared how our experiences during 2022 will inform 2023; some resolutions from 2022 were met, and others were simply moved into the 2023 column.
